Other referrals can be made for anger management, residential treatment of alcohol, substance, and other disorders. Residential treatment interest-free loans available that are subject to repayment by the plan upon successful completion and a six-month review.

There are three categories of referral to treatment:

  1. Self or family referral.

  2. Union local and its committee officers.

  3. Drug & Alcohol Policy

All ILWU members, casuals, and their immediate family are eligible for the EAP. Up to 8 sessions per issue/case annually, with reassess available for new issues.
